I was able to attend Lawrwnce's funeral as I work at Centre Street Church. I cannot imagine the pain and grief losing a child would bring to a parent and family. We have a four month old boy and the thought of losing my son grieves me. I hope that you realize how much of an impact Lawrence had on those around him. He seemed like an amazing young man. May God be with your whole family during this time.

My deepest condolences during this tragic time. I'm the mother of two university aged boys, one at U. of C. and I just cannot imagine the horror. Your son Lawrence was obviously an incredible young man, as were his friends. We are reaching out to you from all over the world and I hope that you can, in some small way, feel the love that is surrounding you.

Lawrence was a dear friend to my sister, Sarah (part of her "Calgary family"). While I never had the opportunity to meet him, I heard so many wonderful stories about him, I feel like he was my friend too! This is such a tragedy, but I hope the many happy memories you have of Lawrence comfort you. He was a very special young man and he will be missed.

Lawrence's smile would brighten a room. His care free attitude and passion for those around him was contagious. He was full of life and love. For Lawrence all people were equal and if he knew you or not he was more then happy to give you the biggest hug. I will miss those hugs that squeezed the breath right out of me. I lost my friend that day but we ALL gained an angel. I just know that as he looks down on us he would not want anyone to cry but rather to party! As someone who always had a smile on his face he wouldn't want anyone to be sad. For those who did not know Lawrence please take his loss as a great lesson in life to always stay smiling and enjoy every moment as he did and to not judge others but love them for being unique and different. For Lawrence's friends and family lets cheer and celebrate a beautiful life as he would want us to. It was truly a blessing to have Lawrence in my life and now he is my angel who looks down on me as I become the best person I can be by helping people and loving people just as he would want me to. I love you Lawrence xoxo
