Gigi and the Paige family,

As you move forward by God's miraculous grace, please know that in the upcoming days, weeks and months ahead, God will never leave you nor forsake you. He is a comfort to the comfortless and a bridge over troubled waters. Trust Him! Love Him! And continue to serve Him! He won't take you to it, unless He can take you through it!

Gigi,
My prayers are with you at this time of loss. I only knew your husband as our videographer (remember the exercise DVD's) but I remember his patience with us. Most of all, I remember you and how kind and sincere you were about the whole project. Your faith was and is an example to me and everyone who knows and loves you. So now, when you face this loss, lean on your faith, rest in the blessed assurance and peace that God offers those who mourn.
My prayers are with you and your family.

Pastor Paige
You have stood in your pulpit for me and my family during times such as these - calm, prayerful and encouraging. We are thankful to you and offer our prayers, love and hope that you and your family find the gentleness of the breath of God upon your pain and anquish; the warmth of God upon your spirits in the sullen days ahead; and the dedication of our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ - as you continue your journey to the place where you all will see Lawrence again. May God continue to bless you and wrap you in his everlasting Grace!

Dear GiGi and Pastor Paige & Family:
When I think of Deacon Paige I remember him conducting the Financial Peace classes at RSMBC that I attended. His witty sense of humor and smile will be missed. May you find comfort in knowing that he had a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior. Thank God for His promise that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. May God bless and keep you in His care and give you strength daily to continue on.

Gigi, and family:

What can I say about the honor of having worked with Larry in the last several years, and very closely with him in the last several months as he transferred into this office and walked along side me in my job responsibilities? Many things come to mind - honor, righteousness, gentleman behavior, a peaceful spirit, fairness, kindness, class, a call to responsibility, mentorship, a vision brought to his job, dedication to his management and a sincere desire to bring his work to a high standard.

Outside of work, I knew of how he helped care for his mother over the years, and some of what he did for his church, and how deeply he loved and appreciated his wife, for those were some of his last words to me – of the good wife he had. Larry walked and talked the right things in work and out. We talked often about salvation and the truths of our God. The greatest of all truths is that he is a saved man, and now sees his Savior face to face, It is we who hurt, but with the sweet knowledge that his place is secure, as he was sealed by the Holy Spirit, and as the Scriptures say:
------------

Psalm 139:16

your eyes saw my body even before it was formed.
You planned how many days I would live.
You wrote down the number of them in your book
before I had lived through even one of them.

------------------

I will miss his sweet whistling, his soft laugh, his ever presence and his words to me as he left “now don’t work too late” - how he truly cared about people. He helped me at work so much, and I was deeply blessed and honored to share the last months of this earthly life at work with him. I will be missing so much about him..

I look forward to a reunion some day.. and at that time all the tears will be wiped away, and the rejoicing can begin in earnest. Until then, we have the "Comforter".. His Holy Spirit, drawing close to the brokenhearted.

I recently ran into Larry at the West End Circle construction site and we greeted each other with the smile that comes with seeing a familiar face. I had worked with Larry some 20 years ago when we were both working for Presbyterian University Hospital (now UPMC). Our recent encounter for the first time a few months ago was our reunion after nearly 20 years. Larry was as pleasent and as congenial as if we had just left work 20 years ago. He was a good, good man. My heartfelt condolences to his family. He is and always will be with you!

To the entire Paige family
When I think about all that your family has withstood in the last couple of years, my heart breaks for you. I know that each of you knows and loves the Lord. I also know that Jesus wept when his friend Lazarus died because he loved him so much...so, weep if you must but remember this is just the beginning of a family reunion.

I was driving on the Parkway west early one fall morning many years ago. I fell asleep while driving and awakened to find the hood of my car coming toward me. I had driven the front of my car under a tractor trailer truck and awakened in just enough time to slam on the brakes and avoid bodily injury. As I pulled what was left of my car to the side of the highway, I could see a brown pick up truck pulling over as well. As the truck got closer, I could see that it was Lawrence Paige. Once he knew that I was unharmed, he drove me to work and offered suggestions as to how to get my car towed/repaired. I was terribly shaken but his calming spirit helped to ease my anxiety. As I reflect on this, I can't help but know that God not only saved my life that day but He also sent an angel to care for me in the person of Lawrence Paige. I will never forget that smile and his acts of kindness to me and my husband over the years. Our hearts are very sad to hear of his passing but our inner man rejoices as we know that Lawrence is forever in the presence of the true and living God and in His presence, there is indeed fullness of joy. We pray the Lord's peace upon Mrs. Jean Paige and the entire Paige family.

Jeanne ,

Please accept my hearfelt condolences!

Larry was a wonderful person whom I feel blessed to have worked with and known as a person. He was an astute worker and well loved by all.

It was a pleasure to work with him!

I know he is in a better place

May Our Father welcome Larry into his Kingdom into everlasting joy and peace.

Larry you have toiled and laboured and now you have returned to GOD.

Larry always spoke so lovingly about his Wife, Jeanne and Kids. He was so proud of you all. I could see the joy in his face as he spoke about his Family after discussing the day's work!

GOD BLESS YOU!

GOD BLESS YOUR WIFE AND KIDS

Amen

Our most sincere and deepest condolence to Gigi, and family for the lost of a wonderful gentleman. Though Patti and I did not know Bro. Lawrence very long, the time we shared at the Marriage Ministry meetings were invaluable. The wisdom, knowledge and understanding that was shared by Gigi and Lawrence will definitely help my wife and I to whether any stroms, (with God's help), that we may encounter in our marriage. We are blessed to have known Bro. Lawrence and to know his loving wife, gigi.

God Bless You
