Lexia, Our sympathy is with you and your family. When I think of Eldon, I think of the Wilkinsons on top of the hill. May your good memories sustain you. Linda Harmon Good

To Carmen and the entire Wilkinson family we send our thoughts and prayers to you at this time. Lawrence and your entire family were great neighbors to us as we grew up.
Sincerely, Jim & Juliann Hofstetter

We're praying that God will comfort you as you mourn the loss of Uncle Lawrence. Although I did not know him well, he always seemed so very pleasant each time I saw him. I've never heard an unkind word spoken about him and I know Grandpa and Aunt Marg thought very well of Uncle Lawrence. (This is Marvin's granddaughter, Kellie.) Unfortunately we will not be able to attend the funeral, but I'd like to offer a few verses in case they may be of any help for those in need of comfort:
II Timothy 4:7&8, "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing."
Romans 8:28 reads, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."
Psalm 46:1 reminds us, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."
Psalm 71 "In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust...for thou art my rock and my fortress...Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honour all the day...But I will hope continually and will yet praise thee more and more...My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed..."
In closing, keep in mind the promise of Psalm 147:3, "He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds."
With love,

Uncle Lawrence was one of my favorite uncles. He and my dad created a lot of good memories for me as a child.

When Lawrence visited LeClaire, we often had the opportunity to visit with him. We truly enjoyed spending a little time listening to his stories and sharing a laugh or two with him and his family. Know good times will remain in your hearts forever and may loving memories bring you comfort.
