We lived across the street from the Reid family for 10 years.Layton remained one of my son's good friends. Though I hadn't seen him for a very long time, Kevin kept me up to date with his comings and goings. I heard about his illness with first hope, then dread, and finally great sadness. My heart aches for you all. I, like hundreds of others, are thinking of you with love and support today.

Layton was the photographer for our family 6 years ago. We love those pictures! He had a wonderful eye and a way of capturing amazing moments. I am so sorry to hear about his passing.

My deepest condolences to you and your family. I read Layton's obituary this week and I was touched by the way it captured his vibrant personality and love of life. I remember him as a young boy and how his smile could light up a room. I am so sorry to learn that he had to fight the fight of his life at such a young age. His courage to write about his journey has helped many others to deal with their own reality. It is truly a gift that his spirit will live on in his adorable son, Finn. I enjoyed seeing Layton's beautiful photography, it gave me a glimpse into the way he generously and unselfishly shared his love of life with his family and friends ( Knowing his parents as incredible humans and educators, that is no suprise! ) I know your precious memories of Layton will help to give you strength at this most difficult time. I never met Layton, being only a part of his Facebook family. So glad I found him. I too am dealing with a Brain Tumour, though not as agressive as his. He certainly helped me stop dwelling on the what if and to live and love life as much as humanly possible. I could not thank him enough for that.
