I wanted to express warm sympathies on Dave's passing on behalf of my father Tommaso Bevilacqua who had the outmost pleasure of knowing and working with Dave. He still, as of today, continues to cherish the memories he has of working at P&W under the helm of Dave. He is so proud that Dave recognized him for his good work and even has a picture of Dave giving him an award on the wall in his living room. He will never forget how Dave treated people and how he was always there to listen. A wonderful and compassionate leader. May he rest in peace. (P&W Longueuil Plant 2)

Dear Marion, so sorry to just now learn of Dave's passing last summer (via latest McGill News). Having been away from Montreal for many years, after many moves, and currently retired in Ottawa we lost touch. But I have not and will never forget my time at Pratt working with and for Dave as Treasurer--a truly amazing and pivotal experience in my career, the next major transition being to UTC in Hartford in 1982.
Hard to believe it's 43 years ago that we first met. Dave made a big difference in the world and leaves a wonderful legacy. Barb and I extend our deepest condolences to you, the girls, and your family.

He was a very gracious man, the only preseident of P&WC that had to be ordered use a car in lieu of taking the bus to work. Rest in Peace Dave.

L.David Caplan was one of those rare people who can talk to anyone and make them feel valued and at ease. He brought out the best in many people by this attitude, with no need to raise his voice. It was an honor to work for you, Dave.

What a nice, decent man he was. He didn't patronize you, he talked to you. And he had a phenomenal memory, too! I had the honour of guiding him, his wife and daughter around plant 5 on Family Day, 1983. It was a pleasure to have known him. My sincere condolences to his family in their time of loss.

My sincerest condolences to Marion and family. I consider the time I had working at P&WC under Dave's leadership to be among the best times of my career. He was truly a great example of intelligence, focus on building a high performance culture with work-life balance, and fairness. He was also very kind to and supportive of me personally, for which I will always be grateful.
