Lea CARON Obituary
December 27, 1917 - November 26, 2011
On November 26, 2011, Lea Caron of Edmonton passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the age of 93 years.
Lea is survived by her children: Rita (Edgar) de Champlain of Comox, B.C., Lorraine (Alfred) Oracheski of Camrose, AB, Florence (Roger) Petersen of Kamloops, B.C., Beatrice (Andrew) Kostyk of Edmonton, AB, George (Rachel) Caron of Edmonton, AB, and son-in-law Sirio (Sue) Venturelli of Stoney Creek, ON; twenty-one grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; three great- great-grandchildren; sisters: Therese Caron, Blanche (Fernand) Durand, and Lorette (John) Theroux-Souci; sister-in-law Rhea Pelletier, Yolande Seibert; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Lea was predeceased by her husband Elvin in September 1994; daughter Helene Venturelli in April 1996; father Edouard and mother Emma; brothers: Joseph, Phillippe, Thomas, Henri, Rudolphe; sisters Eva and Alma.
The family wishes to express their
gratitude to the Venta Care staff for their compassionate care of Lea over the past five years. Prayers will be held at Connelly- McKinley Funeral Home, 10011 - 114 Street, Edmonton on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. Reverend Don Stein will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Edmund's Catholic Church, 13120 - 116 Street, on Friday, December 2, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery
In memory of Lea, donations may be made to the Parkinsons Alberta Society, 102, 5636 Burbank Crescent S.E. Westech Building, Calgary Alberta T2H 1Z6.

My sincere condolences to the entire family. I remember the longtime friendship between our families in the CALDER district very well even though it started in the 1940's.
