Many wonderful memories of Leah and the American TV family. Leah was caring and thoughtful. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let the perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.

Worked with Leah for many years at American TV. It was a joy to know her and of course, I knew a lot of her children. She will be missed by me and so many. RIP Leah.

I worked with Leah at American and she always helped me with work & non work things. She'd either stay late or come in early to do all my french knots for my stitching. We also met periodically after I left American for breakfast. She was a wonderful person and I will miss her. My condolences to her family and friends. God Bless.

I am so sorry for your loss . Leah was a wonderful woman and I was blessed to know her and some of her kids and grandchildren . We taught Sunday school together at St. Marks.

I worked with Leah Hildebrandt at the American TV & Appliance Store in Appleton, Wisconsin, and because the Home Office department was closest to the Customer Service desk, I was blessed to get to know Leah personally. She was always upbeat and had a positive outlook on life. She was genuinely concerned with making everyone's day and life better, from the employees she worked with to the customers she encountered, and she sought out as many opportunities as she could to do so.

Leah, of course, was the perfect person to fill the role of a Customer Service Associate. She had all of the best qualities required of a CSA in abundant supply - she knew the computer system inside and out; she was always professional, dedicated, helpful, genuinely concerned, thoughtful, upbeat, and happy; and she knew how to defuse angry customers and turn them into happily satisfied, loyal patrons once again.

Family meant a lot to Leah, and that included her American TV family, as well as, her biological family. Leah went that extra mile for us all. She brought in fresh bouquets of flowers to bring the beauty of nature inside for those of us who routinely had to work 12-hour shifts. She was fast to hand out a lollipop to any child who walked in the store, but she also hid candy behind the counter to brighten up the employees' days, too. She noticed the little things - such as new haircuts or special clothing - and always paid a compliment to make you feel good.

She also volunteered to be on so many morale-boosting committees at work that I do not think I could even list them all here - but, rest assured, her behind-the-scenes dedication to making us all happy day-in and day-out made a huge impact and lasting impression on us all. From decorating the break room and Customer Service desk area in festive holiday decor to baking huge batches of cookies and brownies, Leah was the caring and thoughtful "Mom" that everybody needs in their life. It seems like everything Leah did was always geared toward helping us excel at our jobs and our personal lives. She was proudest, when we succeeded.

Not many people know this, but Leah was also one of the best egg hiders for the annual Easter egg hunt in the Furniture department. I wouldn't be surprised if some of her Easter eggs are still hidden in the furniture that customers purchased and are currently using at their homes.

I will miss hearing Leah and her CSA cohort, Joan, laughing behind the service desk counter as they shared their personal stories and experiences with each other daily. I will miss Leah's sweet smile and her pleasant, cheery disposition. I will miss her corny jokes, her family stories, her words of encouragement, and her insights into life, love, and business. I will always miss Leah, the person.

Without a doubt, the world that Leah left behind is a far better place because she was here. She left a permanent, positive impression on the hearts of those she encountered. Perhaps, that is the greatest legacy one can leave behind. Thank you, Leah.

I worked with Leah for several years at American, and before that she was a family friend.
Leah was always kind, compassionate, zippy and fun. I learned a lot from Leah from my time working with her and am very grateful she was part of my life.
Leah was always about random acts of kindness. One of those acts that I still remember to this day was when my Grandmother passed away, Leah stopped at my house with a fully cooked meal and everything needed to make sure we didn't need to think about food at our hard time. It was such a simple act that she never wanted thanks for, but really showed her true character.
