Leah..I've been thinking about you and then reading about you. Though I feel blessed to have known you as the beautiful child you were, the extraordinary person you became...I missed that...and I wish I hadn't.

Michael and Ms. McPherson,
I am so sorry to learn of Leah's passing. Mike-I remember the fun stories you had about about you and Leah when you were kids (in particular the haircut story). Though I never met Leah, because you spoke of her often, I know you were very close and were always looking out for each other. My heart goes out to both of you and of course, to Leah's husband and children. I tried to find an email or contact # for you to no avail, but please feel free to contact me anytime. Thinking of all of you,
Julie Wirkkala ([email protected])

Leah, what an amazing path you have blazed -- not just for your children and family, but for people across the country who are facing difficult choices. You and Eric were so courageous in your battle with cancer. We are all trying our best to follow your example as we wade into this transition time. You are sorely missed. In so many ways, you got your job done!

Leah I will miss that smile when you would enter the building. But we will still see that smile in your children daily. Every time I light a candle I will think about you and every time I look up and see the beautiful stars I will think about you.
