Lee Rusk Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 26, 2025.
Lee Ellen Rusk, also known as Lee, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2025, in Middletown, Ohio, at the age of 61. Surrounded by her loved ones and under the compassionate care of hospice, she departed this world with grace and serenity.

Born on October 20, 1963, in Dayton, Ohio, Lee brought warmth and kindness into the lives of those around her consistently. Her generous spirit and unwavering support for others defined her life. She was known for always being just a phone call away-ready to lend a hand or offer a comforting word-and she greeted everyone with a smile that could brighten even the darkest day.

Lee is lovingly remembered by her two granddaughters, Chelsea Kingsboro Gonzalez and Chanteal Fuller, who were a source of great pride and joy in her life. She also leaves behind her beloved dog Daisy, who was a constant companion and cherished member of her family.

She is survived by her mother Judith Bennett and father Walter Campbell Sr., as well as her sisters Robin Chennels and Melissa Everrett. Her brothers Kevin Bennett, Charles Campbell, Jason Campbell, Wally Campbell, and John Campbell also mourn her passing. In addition to her family, Lee shared a deep bond with close friends Ronnie and Veronica Perkins.

Lee found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved watching old westerns and tuning into TLC shows that sparked both curiosity and laughter. Coloring by number brought her peace and creativity, while wolves fascinated her with their strength and beauty. A devoted fan of Kansas City football, she cheered passionately for every game.

Those who knew Lee will remember her as a kind soul who consistently placed the needs of others before her own. Her compassion touched many lives-whether through small acts of kindness or simply being present when someone needed support. Even in her final days, she continued to inspire love and admiration from all who came to know her.

May Lee Ellen Rusk's memory bring comfort to those who mourn her passing and serve as a lasting reminder of the power of kindness and unconditional love.
