Lee Schell Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 17, 2014.
Lee P. Schell was born in Bonne Terre Missouri on February 8, 1924. He passed peacefully with family by his side on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at the age of 90. Lee joined the Army Air Force at the age of 19, and proudly served his country during World War II. After serving in the military, Lee returned to Bonne Terre and met the love of his life, Dorothy Portell. They were married on July 21, 1956. Throughout the years, Lee's career in sales took him and his family to Little Rock, Arkansas; Overland Park, Kansas; and eventually Houston, Texas in 1972. Lee was a born salesman who was successful in his field because he always enjoyed talking to people and he never met a stranger. He retired from Universal Match in 1986.
Lee is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Maude Schell; brothers William and Alfred Jr.; sisters Rosemary, Eleanor and Cecelia;
Lee is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Dorothy Schell; daughter, Jennifer Stewart and husband Jim; son, Paul Schell and wife Julie; and daughter, Angie Palladini and husband Bobby; grandchildren Brian, Ashley and Jacquelyn Stewart; Kaitlin and Madison Schell; and Ryan Palladini.
Lee will forever be in our Hearts.

Aunt Dorothy, I am visiting Jane in Austin because her husband, Dick just passed away. Uncle Lee's name came up so I googled him. We just read that he passed away this month too. I am so sorry for your loss. I am sure you are heartbroken, just like Jane. My father was so very fond of Lee. Take care and give my love to Jennifer, Paul, and Angie.
