Lena Bernice Escobar, 65, of Modesto passed away peacefully in her home with her loving husband and caring daughter by her side on February 2.  Born in Sacramento, Lena was the daughter of Tom Childers of Farmersville Ca. and Bea Evans of Tulsa Ok. Lena dedicated her life to her family, first and foremost a loving wife to her husband William for over 47 years.  Lena was a mother to four children and grandmother to seven.  Lena was an artist, she was a singer, a painter, an interior and exterior designer, a licensed cosmetologist, and the life of the party.    
She is survived by her loving husband William Escobar of Modesto, her children, Kimburly Escobar of Modesto, Anthony and Tanya Escobar or Modesto, Ernie and Regina Escobar of Modesto, Mike Escobar of Hawaii, grandchildren Gregory Escobar, Megan Escobar, Branden Escobar, Mathew Escobar, Hannah Escobar, Joshua Escobar, and Aaron Escobar.  She also leaves behind many more beloved family members here in California as well as Oklahoma and Texas.  We will deeply miss our mother and our friend.  Our hearts are made happy to know that she now leaves behind the pain of her body and resides with family in heaven that her heart here on earth missed so much.
A Rosary service will be held at 6 p.m., on Tues., Feb. 7 at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel. A Mass will be at Our Lady of Fatima Church on Wed, Feb. 8 at 10 a.m. with burial following at St Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery.
