When I was a child, I would always enjoy the trips my Mom and I would make to John and Lena's home. Mom loved John, Lena and the whole family and we enjoyed our visits with them and of course Becky, you and I were very close during our childhood years. We enjoyed each others company every time we met. Through the years, our lives have gone separate ways but we have managed to stay in touch. Sam and Becky, I am so thankful I got to see your Mom on her 90th birthday. Ernie and I are very blessed to have you as our cousins.

Lena was my second mom, the safe haven I always knew I had to run to when things got rough. It was Lena who dried my tears when my grandmother died, Lena who always welcomed me with open, loving arms. She was a beautiful lady who had more loss than anyone should and yet persevered. I will miss her. My love to Becky and Sammy and the rest of the family. Saundra (Roaden) Ciccarelli

Aunt Lena will be greatly missed. We have lost the last matriarch of the Humphrey family. I am so glad she made her goal of age 90, the same as her mom, my grandma Bertie and her sister, Aunt Dora. She is now in heaven with her sister, my mom Bessie. I sure hope there are chicken wings there ........... Deborah Pelfrey

Love you so much, Granny! I am sure you are keeping Grandpa Gantner & Grandpa Harrington, Uncle John, Uncle Garry & Uncle Mike out of trouble up there. While you, Mom, Grandma Harrington & Deb sit back and make fun of them. I miss you all so much!

When I think of gentleness, compassion, warmth and true abiding love, Lena stands out as one who embodies each of these traits. Her smile and the twinkle in her eyes were pure and always welcoming! God bless her and all who knew her.
