Lena Margareta Pedersen

Lena Margareta Pedersen (née Johnsson), aged 78, passed away on August 26, 2024, in Tampa, Florida. Born on April 15, 1946, in Stockholm, Sweden, Lena had a vibrant life characterized by her resilience and nurturing spirit.

Lena embarked on a short, but adventurous career as a stewardess with Pan Am Airlines during the early 1970s, a role that took her around the world and sparked her love for the United States. After marrying in 1975 and starting a family, she transitioned to a dedicated homemaker, raising her two children, Richard and Stephanie. Her career path later diversified as she became an aesthetician in 1991, and eventually, a compassionate home health aide, roles that she embraced with dedication and care.

Known for her exceptional culinary skills, Lena delighted in cooking and baking, often sharing the traditional foods of her Scandinavian heritage as well as exploring new cuisines. Her home was a welcoming space of warmth and delicious aromas, reflective of her loving personality.

In the face of the tremendous hardship, Lena's life was marked by her tenacious spirit, especially evident in her prolonged battle with cancer. Her determination and stubbornness were sources of inspiration to those around her. Despite personal and health challenges, she remained optimistic and committed to living fully.

Lena is survived by her children, Richard Erik Pedersen and Viviann Stephanie Pedersen. Her life will be remembered and celebrated for the profound impact she had on her family and every community she was part of.

Lena's mortal remains will be laid to rest in Solna Cemetary in Stockholm, Sweden near her parents.
