I was so sorry to hear of Leo's passing. I have so many precious childhood memories living next door to the Blanchette family... playing kickball, croquet, or tag with "the boys" Bruce, David, Mickey, and Keith. Leo's lovely wife, Dot, was a great seamstress and cook and was so kind to myself and my family. Leo spent much time working outside trimming the shrubs and maintaining their beautiful yard and always took time to say hello. It warmed my heart when Leo visited my mother just days before her passing to say a final goodbye. Leo and Dot could often be seen walking together down Deane Street daily, and I admired their strong values of family and faith. I hope it brings your family some comfort that they are now together again in spirit. With love and sincere sympathy

Dear Blanchette family, I was so sorry to read of Leo's death in the paper tonight. Emery and I remember talking to him about Damien and Dolores at Heather's and Kristina's UMO graduation.. God Bless ...

So sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad. Your parents meant so much to me when I was a teenager. They were the good, stable, quiet parents who loved God and country. So much like my Mom and Dad! You boys were my "spending money,".....because I was your babysitter! Those Ellsworth years were the best, weren't they?
God bless you all...my visions of you are of cute boys having a great life growing up in Ellsworth. My heartfelt sympathy.
