Coach Longobardo taught me how to drive and I often think he had nerves of steel! He was a kind man and a blessing to the community. I had to teach my kids how to drive and I would have given anything to have them taught by the one who taught me! Lisa Opton

So sorry to hear of your loss! You have always been a great family!
May the Lord bless you with great memories of all the years you had with him!
He was always a kind man when I and my other friends were in your home as friends of Sam.
I have fond memories of how he would announce the football games I played in at Reno High and I have often thought about his work in that position over years!
May the Lord continue to bless your family!

Mr. Longobardo taught me driver training in 1972. Wonderful teacher. He said that if you learn it right from the start, good driving skills will become a habit that you won't even have to think about in the future. To this day, I reflexively use my turn signals, every time I turn, even into my driveway, to the amusement of my wife.
Terry, I'm sorry for your loss. Your dad was quite a guy.

Terry and Carol. Terry I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your dad. What a great guy he was and what a difficult time this must be for you and family. Embrace your memories and celebrate his life. He h ad so much to offer and provided much leadership and wisdom to all of us. Take care my friend and trust that your dad is present with the Lord.

Coach Longobardo, I played football for you at Reno in 1962 and 1963. I'll never forget when you pulled me up to play quarterback and I believe we were playing Quincy Calif. you asked me to play that position because we had no one else. You had me playing a lot of positions during my time with you and I've nvr forgotten you and the support you gave me. You also had me in Drivers Ed. Didn't wreck the car, but I'm sure I gave you a little gray hair.
Years after I graduated I ran into you (not literally) at the market. I was employed by Washoe County Sheriffs Office as a Deputy Sheriff. You ask me to come to your Drivers Ed class and speak to your students.
That was a great honor for me and I've never forgotten that.

You are a good man and it's been my honor to know you.

May you rest in piece.
