The longtime owner of Cudini & Lucas Jewelers in Huntington Beach has passed. A landmark store is closing, and a gentleman with a one-of-a-kind personality is gone. Huntington Beach is forever changed.
Leo leaves behind daughters, Jill, Laura Ho (David and Michelle), Martha Thornfield (Ed and Rena) and Dina Taylor (Peter, Joe and Chris). He is preceded in death by his wife, Janyce.
Leo was a generous man who hated to see his daughters cry. He gave them a better life through his hard work and loving heart. We, his daughters, benefited from the jewelry store, had nice cars, rode horses and were generally pampered like only a daddy can do.
His customers could count on him to greet them by name and offer them personalized service and good deals, accompanied by his one of kind sense of humor. Generation after generation came to the store to commemorate the big moments in their life.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 13, 2015, at 4:00 p.m., at O'Connor Mortuary, 25301 Alicia Parkway, Laguna Hills, California. The store will close at the end of the month. God bless Leo. He will be sorely missed.
