Leo J. McBride passed away Friday, October 6, 2023 at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS. He was 76. Leo was born April 22, 1947 in Lexington, MS to the late Otha and Lurline Tyson McBride. He attended Southside Baptist Church and is an US Army veteran.

Leo enjoyed hunting and fishing on his land he owned in Holmes County and he was a barber in the Jackson Metro area for more than 40 years. In these last few years, he enjoyed spending his time with his grandchildren, whom he adored. Leo is a father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Larry McBride, Mary Ables and Betty Carroll.

Leo is survived by his son, Tony McBride (Andrea); daughter, Ronda Moak (Pete); grandchildren, Zack Moak and Jessie Moak; brothers, Pat McBride (Barbara), Gifford McBride (Judy), Michael McBride, Don McBride (Anita) and Mose McBride; sisters, Sarah Purvis (Glenn) and Joyce Van Henderson (Nick); and numerous nephews and nieces.

A visitation will be held at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram on Monday, October 9, 2023, from 5 PM until 7 PM. Funeral Services are set for Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Coxburg Methodist Church at 11 AM with a visitation for the public beginning at 10 AM. Bro. Jeff Parker will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to C.A.R.A. or M.A.R.L.
