KELLER — Leo Glenn Templer, 87, passed away on Dec. 22, 2014 of natural causes. Funeral service 11a.m. Saturday, Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst. Visitation beginning at 10a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. A private interment will be held Monday at Dallas National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Heifer Project at www.heifer.org or The Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
He was born on April 4th, 1927 to Edward Templer and Molly McKibben in Duke, Oklahoma, and was the youngest of 12 children. Leo was a United States Naval Veteran of WWII, having served on the U.S.S. Floyd B. Parks Destroyer. Leo married his lifelong love, Eugenia Cook, on March 24th, 1948, and went on to graduate from Oklahoma State University in 1951. He taught agriculture education for a short while, and then proceeded to have a long career in sales and real estate. Leo was beloved by most and a friend to all. He taught his loved ones the importance of family, the value of hard work, honesty, and unconditional love.
Throughout his life, Leo enjoyed farming, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Eugenia; son, Rodney Templer and wife, Pat; daughters, Andrea Embrey, Jeanne Montgomery and husband, Kenneth, and Stephanie Womack and husband, John; 6 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.

We will miss Leo and his wit and knowledge of the Templer family. So sorry we can't be with you all to celebrate his life on Saturday. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you all. Hope we can see you at another time soon.
