Leo Albert Walker III, also fondly known as Buddy, peacefully passed away surrounded by friends and family on Thursday, October 19th, 2023 at the age of 86. Buddy was born in Kingsville, Texas on January 19th 1937 to Leo Albert Walker Jr. and Evelyn Adams Walker.

Buddy attended HM King High School in Kingsville, Texas where he graduated in 1955. Following graduation, Buddy attended Texas A&I University and graduated with a bachelors in business administration. Buddy met his wife of 64 years, Linda Jackson Walker, in 1956 in Kingsville, Texas. Excited to start their new lives together, the two were married on January 1st, 1959.

Buddy first began his career with Ed Byrne Furniture and Appliance, working for seven years before opening his own store, Buddy Walker Home Furnishings, on June 28th, 1970 in Kingsville, Texas. In 1987, Buddy Walker Home Furnishings moved its location to Corpus Christi, Texas where it remained a proud small business until its closing in 2022.

Buddy had many hobbies and was often found at the shooting range or on the golf course. An avid hunter, Buddy was very active in the community and frequently partook in competitions where he won many championships in both the United States and Mexico. Buddy also enjoyed participating in golf tournaments and traveling to notable golf courses around the world. In his free time, Buddy could be found playing cards with friends and family or traveling to Las Vegas for his favorite game of Poker.

Buddy is survived by his wife, Linda Jackson Walker, his son Bradley Walker, his grandchildren, Shelby Walker, Taylor Walker, Samantha Walker, and Ryan Walker, and his sister, Jean Walker.

A visitation for friends and family will be held at 5pm on Thursday, October 26th, 2023 at Seaside Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10am on Friday, October 27th, 2023 at Seaside Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
