Leola Tyler-Irwin

Leola "Leigh" Tyler-Irwin, 78, Camanche, died Friday, July 18, 2003, in Benton Harbor, Mich.
She was born Tuesday, November 4, 1924, in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Charles and Bess (Barlement) Turney. She was a Clinton High School graduate.
She married B.J. Tyler in Camanche on February 18, 1945. He died on September 20, 1990. She later married James Irwin on October 9, 1999, in Clinton.
Leigh was a member of First United Methodist Church, Clinton. She was a member of O.E.S., Women of the Moose and was an active volunteer with The Arch, Clinton.
Leigh owned and operated the Tyler Grocery Store with her husband B.J. Tyler in Camanche for more than 20 years.
Visitation will be at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig-Dennis A. Lemke Funeral Home and Crematory on Monday, July 21, 2003, from 5 to 8 p.m. Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church, Clinton, on Tuesday, July 22, 2003, at 1 p.m.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Camanche.
Survivors include her husband, James Irwin, Camanche; son, Daniel John (Marcia) Irwin, San Marino, Calif.; three daughters, Jill (Rick) Sullivan, Ankeny, Iowa, Jane Koenes, Fulton, Ill., and Rebecca Jean Tyler, Clinton; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her first husband, her parents preceded her in death.
