Words cannot express how heavy my heart feels for you at this time.

No person can take away your pain. (But there is a God who can) .
Its so difficult for a young woman to be without her father as she is trying to navigate this thing called life and you will be tried and tested.

I know you feel there is so much unfinished business that will never be completed now but trust me, your dad is with you in every step of this journey.

Cling to your mom and those in your circle that are there for you. You know you can always reach out to us. We've got your back.

Peace and comfort also go out to Brenda and Leon's family.

Dr. Leon Brooks and I were classmates at Henry Weathers High School in Rolling Fork, MS and we attended Alcorn State University at Lorman, MS. Leon was always a good friend and classmate. My husband and I send our condolences to his wife and family. Leon will be missed by his classmates and friends. Rest In Peace.

Dr. Brooks was our 4-H agent in Madison, Florida. He was kind to all of the 4-Hers and was always encouraging. Although that was in the 1980's, over the years Dr. Brooks has always remained constant and often kept in touch with many of his former 4-Hers who called him friend. He will be sorely missed.

To Brenda and the Brooks family, May God continue to bless each of you and keep you forever in His care. Remember all of the happy times spent with him. He will never be forgotten.

To: Brenda Brooks, Diona and the family. Leon was a dear friend like a brother. I am thinking of you at this most difficult time, and extending my heartfelt sympathy. We are never prepared for the loss of a loved one, but God is always prepared to help us through that loss. May His presence begin the healing in your heart and soul, and may His love surround you with the comfort and peace. May precious memories fill your heart and ease your pain. Remember the Lord is with you, and He will surely hold you up and strengthen you.

Leon was my classmate from grade school till high school, we graduated together in 1969 at Henry Weathers high school. He was always a kind quiet young man with a pleasant personality. Rest in peace in the arms of Jesus Leon, for He said in His word in Ecclesiastes the day of Death is better than the day of birth. My condolences to the Family.
