GREENVILLE — Leon J. Cashdollar, 66, of 711 Beatty School Road, Greenville (Salem Township, Mercer County), passed away unexpectedly at 6:20 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, in the emergency room of UPMC Horizon, Greenville.He was born in Sheffield, Ala., Oct. 24, 1942, a son of the late Ralph and Clare Wolford Cashdollar. On Oct. 25, 1970, he married the former Lois Scriven who survives.He had been a car salesman for many years and subsequently owned and operated Cashdollar Auto Sales in Salem Township, Mercer County, for six years. In recent years, he had been a taxi driver for the Amish. He is remembered by his family as having been a collector of most anything. He enjoyed hunting and was a member of the White Oaks Shooting Club and the National Rifle Association. Leon was of the Protestant faith. He enjoyed life to the fullest and always enjoyed having a good time. He enjoyed his family especially his grandchildren and always enjoyed the company of his dog.In addition to his wife of 38 years, he is survived by three sons, Troy Cashdollar and his wife, Justine, of Cooperstown, Todd Cashdollar of Knox, and Tyrone Cashdollar and his wife, Cheryl, of Clarks Mills; one brother, Ralph E. Cashdollar of Cheektowanda, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Joshua Cashdollar, Tia Cashdollar, Nicholas Cashdollar, Lexie Cashdollar and Samantha Cashdollar; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Madeline Riley Collins.Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home Ltd., 3223 Perry Highway, Sheakleyville.The funeral and committal service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Steven Lamb, pastor of North Salem United Methodist Church, officiating.Interment will follow in Stevenson Cemetery.Those unable to attend are invited to sign the online guest register at www.rlsfh.com.
