Leon Wayne Johnson

Leon Wayne Johnson, aged 68, passed away on August 14, 2024, in Frederick, MD. Born on January 9, 1956, Leon spent his life sharing his love for music, football, and cooking. A dedicated car salesman, Leon built lasting relationships and was deeply respected in his field.

Leon was a passionate Baltimore Ravens fan and a talented bass guitarist. His love for music was only rivaled by his skill in the kitchen, where he enjoyed cooking fried chicken and collard greens for family and friends. His home was a hub of joy and delicious food, much to the delight of everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Tina Cavin Johnson; daughter, Montez (Faye); son, Domonique (Patrice); stepdaughters, Caitlin (Ethan) and Brooklyn; and grandchildren, Demarco, Dakota, Demetrius, Eli, Calin, and Cyrus. He also leaves behind his mother-in-law, Patricia; sisters-in-law, Joelie (Nathan), Samantha (Kevin), Stephanie, and Miki (Jeff); as well as numerous nieces and nephews: Jacob, Bryson, Jeffrey, Mia, Noella, Carter, Isla, Layla, Arya, Cora, and Rowan. Leon's long-standing friendship with ex-wife Perciller Sherman, friends Sherman Murray, Irving Delaughter, and godson Charles Muse, speaks volumes of his ability to maintain meaningful connections throughout his life.

Leon was preceded in death by his parents, Ernestine and Leon Johnson, stepson Cooper, and brother-in-law Tyler.

Leon's life was a testament to his love for his family, his passion for his interests, and his commitment to his career. He will be remembered as a man who brought happiness and warmth to everyone around him.
