PASTOR LEON E. RANDALL "HOMES"
SCOTCH PLAINS
Pastor Leon E. Randall "Homes" passed at home in Scotch Plains on Saturday, April 17, 2010. Born in Carmellia, Ga., he has lived in Scotch Plains the past 4 yrs., formerly of Westfield. Serving the ministry for 40 yrs, until retiring in 2006 from St. Luke's AME Zion Church in Westfield, Pastor Randall served as pastor for the First AME Zion Church in Orange, NJ., Mt. Zion AME Zion Church in Eatontown, NJ., Centennial AME Zion Church in Cloister, NJ., Rossville AME Zion Church in Staten Island, NY., and St Thomas AME Zion Church in Somerville, NJ. He had also served as the president of the Martin Luther King Association -Westfield, member of the Westfield/Mountainside Ministerial organization, Chairman of the Paul Robeson Commission, Board of directors of the Westfield Community Center, and the Westfield Rotary Club. Pastor Randall was a veteran of the US Navy serving in the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife of 44 yrs., Rosa; sons, Leon Jr., Gary Randall, William Green; daughters, Yetta Johnson (Roger), Doris Revis; 11 grandchildren; 9 gr. Grandchildren and sister in- law, Gloria White.
Funeral services will be held Friday 11AM at the Clinton Memorial AME Zion Church, 151 Broadway, Newark, NJ. Visitation will be Thursday 5 -8 PM at the church. Arrangments by Judkins Colonial Home. Condolences may be sent to www.judkinscolonialhome.com
