Leona Hauber

Leona Hauber (nee Renneberg) January 30, 1929 June 4, 2006 Leona Hauber (nee Renneberg) passed away peacefully, to be with our Lord, with her family by her side early Sunday morning, June 4, 2006, at the age of 77 after a short battle with cancer. Mom's pride and joy were her children and she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mom looked forward to being with her brothers and sisters and friends. Her faith was an important part of her life. Leona is survived by her husband, Roman of 54 years; two sons, Gary (Sharon) Hauber and Walter (Bonnie) Hauber; three daughters, Joanne (Tim) Merk, Renee (Brian) Kirtzinger, and Roxanne (Mark) Koenning; 17 grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren; two sisters, Irene Classen and Muriel (Willie) Welter; four brothers, Lambert (Agnes) Renneberg, Oscar (Dorothy) Renneberg, Wally (Angela) Renneberg, and Ray (Stella) Renneberg; two brothers-in-law, Ron Pigott and Ed Deck; four sisters-in-law, Loretta Kleiter, Veronica (Roman) Kleiter and Celine (Henry) Kohle, Isabel Renneberg; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Gerhard and Catherine (Green) Renneberg; father and mother-in-law, Otto and Elizabeth (Lopinski) Hauber; two brothers, Roman Renneberg and Don Renneberg; three sisters, Rita Pigott, Frances Deck and Helen (in infancy); one granddaughter, Patricia Hauber; and one great-grandson, Matthew Hauber; two brothers-in-law, Charles Classen and Clarence Kleiter; and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Linda Renneberg and Dr. Lise Morin for their compassionate care during mom's illness. The Vigil of Prayer will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2006, at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. Both services will be held at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Cudworth, SK, celebrated by Rev. Fr. Leo Hinz, O.S.B. and Fr. Werner Renneberg. Rite of Committal to follow in St. Michael's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Cudworth, SK. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Michael's Haven, Cudworth, SK, the Canadian Cancer Society or the Lung Association of Saskatchewan.
