I first met Leona Meyer over 60 years ago. She altered the uniforms for Cathy and me for the Harris Corner Fire Dept. Our father volunteered us to carry the banner for the parades! She was a great lady, always smiling too.

I am so glad I met you at a family gathering when Dennis and I attended. I have thought of you often. I enjoyed visiting so much you made me so welcomed. Since Dennis passed I don't get to see Matt and Mary to catch up. Rest in Peace Aunt Leona, you will be missed by many.

We are so sad to hear of Aunt Leona's passing. We enjoyed knowing her and talking about old memories with her. We can't make it to her funeral Mass due to other commitments but will remember her and all her nieces and nephews in our prayers. We loved her all our lives.

I was blessed to spend about a year renting the upstairs in Aunt Leona's home. I was also blessed to know Sylvester while I was there. What an amazing lady! When I would get home from work, I would check in and see if they needed help with anything and if not, just to sit awhile listening to her stories of when they were younger was always a pleasure. It never got old! I loved living there and was grateful that they shared their home with me. One day I asked if I could hunt the property and she said "Sure". I remember walking back to the house and Sylvester would be sitting in the window waving at me. I'd walk up to say hi and he wanted to know how my hunt went (usually unsuccessful but enjoyed being out there lol). I'll carry these memories with me and always be grateful for her hospitality as well as the rest of the family for being so kind to me and also inviting me to her very special 100th Birthday! I am going to miss her!
