Age 92, of Sidney, Ohio, formerly of Munhall, PA on Tuesday, October 21, 2008. Beloved husband of the late Regina R. (Mantsch) Fleming; father of Rose Ann (Charles) Chaffins of Sidney, Ohio and Elizabeth (Michael) Stano of West Mifflin, PA; grandfather of Monica (Timothy) Knauss, Regina (Michael) Takos, Julie (Alan) David, Sharon (Brad) McMakin and the late David Schweikert; great grandfather of Angela, Hannah, Alanna, Ashley, Erik, Braden, and Laina; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Robert and Elizabeth, sisters, Ida Davis, Grace Devey and Elizabeth Fleming, brothers, John, Thomas, Robert, Clifford, Vernard and Charles and Robert Fertelmes. Member of St. John Mark Lutheran Church, Homestead, PA where he served as Sunday School teacher, lecturer, usher, and President and member of church council. Retired in 1978 from U.S. Steel, Homestead after 42 years where he was a turn foreman at the 48" mill. Former member of Thompson AARP and F&A.M. Lodge 582. Friends received at ADAMS FUNERAL HOME, Sidney, Ohio on Fri 4-8pm. Funeral on Sat. at 10:00am at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Sidney, Ohio. Graveside service Mon. at Homestead Cemetery, Homestead, PA at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. John Mark Lutheran Church, Homestead, PA.
