LEONARD LEE GRAHAM

APRIL 9, 1965 - DECEMBER 25, 2018

Leonard Lee "Unique" Graham, a life long resident of Poughkeepsie went into eternal peace on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at his home.He was 53 years old.

Born April 9, 1965 in Poughkeepsie,NY He was the son of John Graham and Tonie Lee Pearse Graham. Leonard was educated in the Poughkeepsie School System and was most remembered for his early inventions of bikes with motors as a student of B.O.C.E.S.

He grew up singing in the Beulah Baptist Church Junior Choir where his mother Tonie played the piano. Leonard better known later as "Unique" was simply that...Unique.

He was a genius pioneering engineer and inventor, ahead of his time. He was a self-employed mechanic. "Welcome to Unique's Auto". Many of his customers and residents of Poughkeepsie knew that you could call him at anytime of the day or night if you needed any type of repairs done to your car. Unique was very well known for his mechanical skills and for his gas and then electric motor bikes. He would often be seen riding around town smiling and waving as he rode by on his self made electric scooters and motorized bike.

Leonard had a heart of gold and loved what he was gifted to do. He is survived by his mother Tonie Lee Graham; brother Thomas Jerome Pearse both of Poughkeepsie; daughters, Lashonda Van Tassel of Poughkeepsie,NY and Shoneekia L. Mood of Port Chester, NY; grandchildren, Kaleb and Chloe Leeper, Nayomi Gangoo, Michico Izaya and William Amare Mood; nephews, Kadeem Nathaniel, Isaiah Tashan and Maliq Jerome Pearse; nieces, Anquanette Sharonie Neails and her son his great nephew, Denzel Ashley, Heiress Gabrielle and Kelyshja Lee Pearse. His other relatives and very close friends.

He is predeceased by his beloved grandparents, Jesse Lee and Riley Lee Pearse and his father John Graham.
