Leonard Haynes Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 23, 2024.
Leonard "Lenny" Haynes, age 69, of Northport, Florida, passed away at home on Saturday, November 16, 2024. Born and raised in New Britain, Connecticut, Lenny was a long-time resident of Berlin.

Lenny was a skilled transmission repair and general auto mechanic. His work was a testament to his commitment to helping others. An avid Red Sox fan, Lenny enjoyed simple pleasures, including a lifelong passion for camping and fishing.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Karen, whose companionship brought him immense joy. Lenny leaves behind his beloved son, Michael Haynes of Berlin, and his brothers, Paul of Berlin and Larry of Newington, Connecticut. He also cherished his friendship with Thomas Dwyer of Berlin and held a special place in his heart for his many nieces and nephews. Lenny was predeceased by his parents, Carlton and Elsie, and his brothers, David, Richard, and Gene.

Lenny's life was marked by kindness, resilience, and the enduring love of family and friends, leaving a legacy of warmth and generosity. A private ceremony will be held to honor his memory.

I am grateful to be one of your son's closest friend and honored to say that I know the Haynes family very well. For all the times you helped with me and my families car troubles lol and just putting up with me I thank you. May you rest in peace "Lenny".
