Leonard Hogue

Leonard "Lenny" Duane Hogue, late of Conway, South Carolina, passed away in his sleep on April 30, 2025, surrounded by family after a long battle with cancer and other health issues.

Lenny was born on July 30, 1952, in New Brighton, Pennsylvania. A small business owner in the Myrtle Beach Area for nearly fifteen years before his retirement, Lenny balanced running a business and being a devoted father to his sons. He always made time for swim meets, golf tournaments, and his boys, no matter where they were and how busy his life was.

He loved music-a passion he passed on to his sons-and between his record collection, trumpets, and saxophones, there was always music in the air at Lenny's home. An avid golfer and NFL fan, Lenny loved fantasy football, and never missed a Steelers game. Known as both a doting father and grandfather, Lenny adored his children and grandchildren, and made friends easily.

Lenny is survived by his sons, Chris (Kandi) Hogue and Brian Hogue; his mother, Dora Hogue; his sisters, Bonnie Hogue and Brenda Edwards; and his granddaughters, Aria Hogue and Reagan Hogue. He was preceded in death by his father, Bobbie Hogue.

A celebration of Lenny's life will take place over the summer, with details to follow. Please contact a family member for additional information. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Lenny's memory to the American Cancer Society, or a personal charity of choice.
