I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Len was such a handsome, intelligent, and wonderful person..., just as your entire family is! May time heal the pain of your loss. I will keep you in my prayers.

I finally just mustered up the ability to write you a "tribute" on the memory book on the www.palsnet.info page and that one post alone took everything in me, my heart can't take writing another one and then another one again as you were so popular you have a FEW guestbooks and memory books floating around here on the internet. So I will just say here exactly what I said on the memory book page of your work's website....

" I have been reading everyone's messages the last several days and have found it to be not only very comforting, but also very refreshing. It's always interesting to see someone you're really close to through another's eyes. It's very apparent that my brother had the same kind of integrity at work that I've admired in his home life for so many, many years.

My brother was 10 years older than me and we had a very special relationship. One where no amount of words or attempts to explain could ever do it justice. My memories of being very young and growing up don't include fighting over toys and doing those things that normal siblings do. My memories are of him teaching me to ride a bike, sitting behind me on the bleachers and tapping me on the shoulder before every basketball game to let me know he was there to cheer me on. After a Christmas gift exchange in elementary school, I came home crying because I was very disappointed to have gotten a pair of pink summer socks instead of a toy or something fun like everyone else in the class. Lenny quickly ran to his room, got one of his puzzle games, wrapped it up and presented it to me. Those are the kinds of memories I had growing up with my brother- Support, Compassion and most of all, love.

I truly admired my big brother and wished I could be even a fraction of the kind of person he was.
He's no longer there to tap me on my shoulder, but I know he's behind me, cheering me on during this big game of life.

I'm so sorry to hear about Lenny. When hanging out with Leisa, when we were younger, I thought he was the coolest big brother! Thank you guys for being a second family to me growing up. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. Take care!

I did not have the privilege of meeting Len in person; however, Len was such a helpful person through our email contact when our library was having "technical difficulties". He will be greatly missed, both professionally and personally.

Lynn, Leonard, Leisa, & family - I was so sorry to hear about Lenny. Please know that I'm thinking about you. Thinking back to living on Graystone, it seems like our street was "one" big house with alot of rooms and "one" big family rather than alot of houses with seperate families - we all laughed together, cried together, got mad at each other (always making up), and of course, looking out for one another. Again, I'm so very sorry. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I didn't know Leonard, but was very saddend to hear of his death. Such a young athletic man cut down in his prime. I'm so very sorry for his family.May your many good memories comfort you.
