Dear Hon. and Mrs. Thomas H. Newton and Family:

I had the privilege to know both Mr. and Mrs.Pryor through St.Augustine's church and Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral.

I always looked forward to Mr. Pryor's Black History exhibit(s) at the Absalom Jones celebration at Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral. The exhibits were always the highlight of that celebration.

Much love and prayers to you and family in the days to come

Mr. Pryor will be missed by many of us in Kansas City. He was passionate about art and making sure young artist got the support and opportunity they needed. Mr. Pryor was a kind, wonderful person. He gave art teachers the chance to make a difference. He was a true inspiration and always will be.

Leonard was ALWAYS a Classy Guy, as Maxine was a Classy Lady...May they rest in peace together. I taught with Maxie at Pitcher Academy for several years until she retired. (My late Mother Barbara, and her twin sister Betty Frazier Cody, and sis Juanita Frazier Clardy were from Topeka too.) Sending my sympathy to the family, Jackie Carter Jones

Leonard Pryor as I loving called "Uncle Skeek" was the best uncle I could have had. I will miss his laugh and talks we had when I would come to KC.

I am grateful for the life of Mr. Pryor. Thanks to his service and to the service of others in our armed forces, my family and I have been able to lead our lives in freedom and peace.

I extend my deepest condolences to the Pryor family. My prayers are with you.
I know our hearts are heavy, but Mr. Pryor would be the first to tell us Be encouraged and Keep the faith. He would embrace the theme of the scripture written by Apostle Paul about Christ love for us.
Romans 8: 35-39 KJV
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
May god bless and comfort you.
