Leonard was part of my family (technically he was my first cousin once removed in-law) but I got to know him only in the later years of his life, first in Bloomington, and then in Cincinnati when I became friends with his son Neil (much simpler - my second cousin). Leonard captivated my husband and me with his seemingly endless supply of fascinating anecdotes about an artistic era the likes of which will probably never come again. He lived a great life, created lasting art (I hope his recording of the Mozart Concerto stays in the catalog forever)and nurtured a warm and loving family. I'm grateful to have known him.
