Leonard STEINKE Obituary
Leonard Arnold Steinke passed away peacefully at St. Therese Villa in Lethbridge, Alberta on Wednesday, February 1, 2012. Len was born on September 30, 1933, in Pincher Creek, Alberta. He spent the majority of his career working in Calgary for various oil companies and retired from PanCanadian Petroleum in 1992. After his retirement, Len bought the Steinke family farm and moved back to Pincher Creek. Len was predeceased by his parents, Albert Steinke and Anna Zienau, and his sister-in-law Joy Steinke. He is survived by his brothers Ed (Ruby) Steinke of Vernon BC, and Warner Steinke of Lethbridge, AB and his sister Myrna (Walt) Lane of Claresholm, AB. Len also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great-nephews. He will be sadly missed by all. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, February 6, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 893 East Avenue, Pincher Creek, AB. Pastor Andrew Craig Officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Box 1959, Pincher Creek, AB T0K 1W0, or St. Michael's Foundation, 1400 - 9 Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB T1J 4V5.
