Leota Evonne Kelley SALTVILLE, Va. Leota Evonne Kelley, Age 65, passed away on Dec. 8, 2009, in the Wellmont Hospice house after a long battle with cancer. She was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Rachel Smith; and brother, Kenneth Smith Survivors: her husband, Curtis "H.C." Kelley; son, Scott Kelley, Monticello. Ky.; grandson, Samuel Kelley; five sisters, Geneva Odum, Abingdon, Va., Imogene Arnold, Kingsport, Tenn., Lalia Price, Saltville, Patsy Brown, Baltimore, Linda Crewey, Columbus, Ohio, two brothers, Robert Smith, Saltville and Stanley Smith, Saltville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Leota E. Kelley will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009, at the Lighthouse Baptist Church with the Rev. Benny Frye, Rev. Reynolds Frye officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the church prior to the service. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in the Mount Rose Cemetery. The family would like to offer a special thank you to Pro-Career Inc., Wellmont Hospice and Johnston Memorial Cancer Center chemo nurses.
