Urania Ferreira

Urania Ferreira, age 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on January 22, 2021 at St. Anne's Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Jeremias Ferreira. Born in So Miguel, Aores, she was the daughter of the late Jose and Hortencia (Medeiros) Correia. Urania was very loving and family was most important to her. She was an outgoing person and everyone loved to be around her. Urania is survived by her children Antonio Ferreira, Jeremias Ferreira Jr., Louis Ferreira, Maria Carlos, Sara Batista, Lucia Ferreira, Ana Furtado, all of Fall River, and Jose Ferreira of Canada; 3 sisters, one brother, 23 grandchildren, over 30 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, as well as many nieces and nephews. Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on Friday, Jan 29th with extended calling hours from 8:30-10:30 A.M. following a mass of Christian burial at Espirito Santo Church at 11 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
