Please accept my sympathy in the great loss of your husband Leroy.
My mother Margaret MacKinnon (Burgess) who lived in Cambridge, Mass. was the first door neighbor and friend of the MacPhails. I remember Malcolm John MacPhail and that he gave his life for his country in Second World War. I believe he and my mother and her brothers Archie F. and Sam were attended the Scotsville school at the same time. I recall in 1938 when my four brothers and our mom spent that summer with our grandparents Malcolm and Flora MacKinnon at Scotsville on the farm. I was seven years old and remember Leroy very well. That was a wonderful experience on the farm for city kids. Also remember his Dad and Mom Also Leroy's Grandmother Mrs. MacPhail and her shawl I will try to attend the funeral service on Saturday in Needham. Please accept my deepest sympathy in your loss and may he rest in peace.
