Leslie ARMOUR

I never failed to be inspired by Leslie's intellectual gifts, his compassion and his artistic sensitivity. He was such an important mentor in my philosophical development, and I will always remember him with great affection.

Dear Diana and Family,
It has been several weeks since Leslie's passing and I still frequently think of him. His wit, kindness, depth of scholarship and general humanity touched me very deeply and no doubt always will.

We are saddened to hear of Leslie's passing. His kind personality and great sense of humour will unfortunately not be enjoyed by his friends anymore. After reading your Guest Book, I think about the great influence Leslie had on all the students who were fortunate enough to have him as a Professor. Professor Armour taught me that doing philosophy is more important than studying philosophy; I will always be indebted to him for his encouragement, patience and love of sharing his wisdom. My sympathies to professor Armour's family and friends.

Leslie Armour was one of my favourite people. Perhaps it was because of his inimitable sense of humour. He taught at Waterloo when I was a student there and I particularly remember taking his course in the Philosophy of Law.

In memory of an unforgettable professor and of a truly brilliant and kind man. Every course I took with him was a pleasure. I offer my deepest sympathy to his family.
