1941 - 2018
BINGHAM - Leslie C. Beane, 76, of Bingham, passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, surrounded by his family.
Leslie was born on Nov. 13, 1941, in Concord, the son of Cecil and Eunice (Stevens) Beane.
He attended the local schools, and graduated from Valley High School, class of 1960. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, proudly serving his country from 1960-1964.
After leaving the military, Leslie worked as an artist, traveling throughout the United States, living in many different places. Leslie returned home to Maine in 2012, to be close to his family, and to enjoy his retirement.
He was predeceased by both of his parents; and a sister, Carol Conroy.
Leslie is survived by his brother, Cecil L. Beane Jr., and his wife, Joyce; his sister, Judith Lombard; a brother-in-law, Kenton Conroy; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held in the spring, date and time to be announced, in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Giberson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Bingham.
