Leslie Brindza Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 24, 2009.
BRINDZA, Leslie Charles Les passed away at age 77 on April 19, 2009 after a long, hard-fought battle with cancer. A strong man, a good man, a hard worker and a craftsman, he was an inspiration and role model right to the very end. He was loved and respected by all who knew him. He will be remembered for his sense of humour, his kind and loving spirit, his selfless generosity to others and his devotion to his family. He truly lived a valuable life. "He couldn't say no to anyone asking for help." He will be deeply missed by all but especially by, Donna, his loving wife of 55 years (his "Hun") and lifelong hunting and fishing partner. Left to keep his memory alive are his daughter, Barbara (Bruce); sons, Allan (Brenda), Cory (Karen); grandchildren, Christopher (Robin), Daisy, Emily, Pierce, Beau, Angeline, Duncan (Amber), Morgan, Jeffrey, Shilo and great-grandchildren, Brynn, Owen and Adam. He also leaves behind a large circle of extended family and friends with whom he shared all the celebrations and trials that life brought. "There is a hole in our hearts now." At Les's request, cremation has taken place. A private gathering will be held for family and close friends to celebrate his life on Sunday, April 26th.
