Clyde B. Hudson, 90, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, April 16, 2002, at his home. He was born Dec. 21, 1911, in Greensburg, a son of the late John C. and Anna May Bair Hudson. Clyde served two terms as a member of the Greensburg City Council in charge of City Parks and Buildings. He also served as the City Planner for eight years and then on the Greensburg City Planning Commission. As a member of the Board of Directors of the Greensburg Library and because of his experience as a self-employed contractor, he supervised the renovation of the old Greensburg Post Office as it became the Greensburg Public Library. He was also a former board member of the Greensburg YWCA. He was a World War II veteran, having volunteered and served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Moist Hudson; and two daughters, Anne Hudson Bush of Greensburg and M. Janet Hudson of Ligonier. Friends will be received at the BARNHART FUNERAL HOME, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the First Lutheran Church, 246 S. Main St., Greensburg, with the Rev. E. Allen Scanlon and the Rev. Craig T. Hess co-officiating. Entombment will follow in the St. Clair Cemetery. Should friends desire, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be placed with either the Greensburg Hempfield Area Library, 237 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Greensburg, PA 15601 or the Ligonier Valley Library, 120 W. Main St., Ligonier, PA 15658.
