In memory of
Pat & Bob Meinert
August 2, 2010
Don & Family,
Leslie and I were friends before
and after we worked together. We
shared our friendship into a second
generation with our daughters and saw
them laugh and enjoy each other as much
as we did and it brought back many good
memories. You are everywhere in our home, furniture we traded, all the art
work you and Don shared with us and I
think you you every time I look at the
GE refrigerator that is the only item
in the household that two generations
are asking for in the will. I know
you will be smiling down on all the
people gathered to remember you this
Saturday. I miss you more than I can
say!
ps - I haven't cried until I wrote this
beause I didn't beleive you were realy gone.

Dear Don, Lisa, Matt, Andy and families,
Words cannot express the sadness we feel for your loss. We are blessed to have had the time with Leslie that we did. She was a very memorable lady...loving, talented and a happy spirit. We will always remember her with happy thoughts, as we display and use the beautiful things she made.
May God's Blessings be yours.

Dana and I are such better people from knowing Leslie. We met her and Don thru Lisa and their involvement with the Ronald McDonald House. I always loved sitting next to her because she would keep you in stitches! What a shining light she was to so many people and we are luck y to be a part of that group.

Just home from vacation, and the first thing I checked was Leslie's obit, as I knew it would reflect her wonderful life. I feel blessed to have known her. The Nelsons were my first friends after arriving Portland from Iowa in March 1975. I can't count the times they all took me under their wings, with Leslie holding court. Lisa's description of her mom's passing was filled with tears of sadness, joy and marvel. Leslie was bigger than life, and I know her spirit is bigger than death. Sweet journey, Leslie, and tender blessings to Don, Lisa, Matt, Andy & kids. I look forward to celebrating with you her wonderful life.
Hugs,
Kathi/Kate/Kathleen

Don, We were so fortunate that you and Les came our way and we had the great lunch on May 17. When two Geminis get together, things really 'move'.
Don, I have not met your children but I am certain they feel a great loss.
There was only ONE LESLIE.

Don and Family,
Eric and I are so sorry to hear of Leslie's passing, actually we were shocked, she had such a zest for life. In celebrating her life may all the great memories give you comfort and strength during this difficult time and sadness. Wish I could think of a joke or a memory to give you all a laugh, I think Leslie would have liked that for you all but I can't think of one right now. Eric and I have fond memories of you both many years ago when you visited us at the coast and dinner at your home in Portland. Our memories are of lots of laughter and great conversation a woman full of love for her family and fellow human beings. You are in our thoughts and Leslie is remembered by us, as a wonderful intelligent, woman with a gift of humor that delighted all.
Hugs, and our most heartfelt condolences to you all. Eric and Heather Mash

Leslie was helpful and kind to me when many others were not. Although she may not have known, I thought of her as the kindest most accomplished person in our Judge Memorial class. Don, and her family, my prayers and condolences are with you in this difficult time.
