Leslie Sweet Obituary
Les was born July 3, 1945, in Sidney, Nebraska, to Lloyed and Leola Sweet. He married Yvonne (Bonnie) Bauer Dec. 31, 1965. They made homes in Sidney as well as Ft. Morgan and Sterling, Colorado. He worked as a truck driver and in the oil fields before retiring, but his true passion lay in his work as a volunteer firefighter. He also loved scuba diving and hunting. He never met a stranger, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone.
Les is survived by his two sons--Shawn of Grand Junction, Colorado, and Shane of Nebraska--as well as four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his wife Bonnie, parents, brothers Lowell and Otis, and sister Louise.
Services will be held at Greenfield Cemetery, Sidney, Nebraska, on Tuesday, March 25, at 10 am.
