Lester Lafferty Obituary

Lester Lafferty, 54, passed away peacefully Monday, November 1, 2010 at Martin Memorial Hospital in Stuart, FL surrounded by his loving family.

Lester was born in Cumberland, MD to his parents Fred and Mona Lee Lafferty of Buffalo Mills, PA. Lester moved to Jensen Beach several years ago coming from PA.

He enjoyed going to his grandchildren's ball games. Lester was also known as the "Gate Keeper" for the Jensen Beach Cowboys for many years. He loved riding his red scooter up and down Indian River Drive walking his dog Simba.

Prior to retirement Lester worked for Publix Supermarkets.

Survivors include wife, Rhonda Lafferty of Jensen Beach, FL; son, Michael (Michelle) Lafferty of Jensen Beach, FL; four grandchildren, Brandi, Michael, Wyatt and Mattalynn Lafferty; brother, Freddie Lafferty of Buffalo Mills, PA; sister, Faith Rose of Buffalo Mills, PA; special niece, Charity Lafferty.

He is now an angel in Heaven along with his son, Matthew Lafferty.

At Lester's request, there will be no services. His wishes were to have a family and friend gathering in PA.

Donations may be made to Angel Flights of Florida and Life Link located in Tampa, FL.

Dear Ronda and Family,
We are so sorry to hear about your loss. Les was a wonderful man and father. We remember him always supporting the young people with sports. He now joins his beloved son Matthew who will forever be in our hearts.

Dad, I am so sorry that I didnt get a chance to say good bye but I always loved you before you went to the heaven. You are my Dad not just a dad in law. You mean everything to me. I missed you so much and our little shopping and also have coffee at dunkin donuts. Dad, I am glad that your in a better place, no more pain and suffering..
