Lester Salkin Obituary
He graduated from Parks Air College in St. Louis with a degree in aeronautical engineering and studied advanced aircraft engine design at New York University. He had worked with Corydon M. Johnson Co. Inc. and Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corp.
Salkin loved sailing and building model airplanes and ships and belonged to the Community Synagogue of Rye. He was a member of the Retired Men's Club at the JCC in Scarsdale and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics for 60 years.
He leaves behind his wife, Alberta; three children, Leslie S. Millman, Jonathan T. Salkin and Oleasa Salkin; five grandchildren, Micha Millman, Raheli Harper, Jim Harper, Sarah Millman and Arielle Salkin; and a great-grandchild, Able Millman Harper.
Services took place May 11 at the Community Synagogue of Rye.
