Resident of Shell Beach
Raised in Fresno, California, a UCSB graduate, Levi AKA Professor Fidget Wigglesworth, built communities wherever he resided, most recently in the Bay Area. Levi fought a very difficult battle with brain cancer. He did everything possible that his doctors offered, plus more. The evil GBM won this war on January 11, 2017.
Diagnosed February 17, 2016, his faithful companion and love of his life, Brooke Dean was by his side this whole time. She made him the proudest husband by marrying him on October 30, 2016. They danced the night away with close friends and family. December 30th he was sitting at our fire pit with friends in his wheelchair unable to walk, still smiling. Levi never complained. Levi smiled everyday when he saw Brooke walk into a room, even when he became wheelchair bound, then bedridden. She was his main caregiver. He was happiest with his crew of friends and family nearby. Seth and Zev, his brothers, were also caregivers, by his side day and night. His parents, Bluma and Edward, fed him, held his hand and massaged his feet whenever possible.
Levi told us repeatedly that he did not feel like he had cancer; until the day he could no longer communicate. People-connecting and communicating was a big part of Levi's life. He always brought people together. From a very young age he tried to make people comfortable and feel included. He was a dedicated musician who loved to play and sing and introduce new music to everyone. Festivals and Judaism were his soul and spirit. He was the creator of Digital Detox and Camp Grounded. Levi encouraged people all over to "Disconnect to Reconnect". He longed to go to The Island again.
He leaves his bride, Brooke, his most caring and loving brothers Seth and Zev, his Baube Edythe, and broken-hearted proud parents Bluma and Edward.
In lieu of flowers/candy/coloring books, the family asks for your help in creating our 2017 LAST Camp Grounded, the exact way Levi would do it: WHOLEHEARTEDLY.

I didn't know that Levi was sick. I remember him as a great soccer player and a great kid. I am so, so sorry to hear of his passing. I know how hard this is. You are all in my prayers. I have often thought of his bar mitzvah and what a wonderful, close family that you had. What a wonderful time. Such good, good memories.

I'm so sad to hear that Levi has passed. Cancer is a vicious disease. It sounds like Levi had created a great life for himself and his bride. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. It is so difficult to find words that can be of comfort when your pain and loss are unimaginable. Bob and I often talked about our wonderful times and the friendship we had with the whole Felix clan during our years in Fresno. In some small way, we were a part of your boys coming of age at their Bar Mitzvahs and the joy and happiness they brought you. Bluma, there has rarely been a mother so close with their sons and they with you. I remember Levi being the outgoing, social, talented, adventuresome youth.

It is so difficult to find words that can be of comfort when your pain and loss are unimaginable. I have known Levi since as early as elementary school, and the funny thing about my times with Levi, was that I have very specific memories of my times with him. Levi was a great musician in the literal sense, but was a musician of life. In our Spanish class, I still remember discussing the new Green Day album and a song called "Church on Sunday" and how it had an interesting break down towards the end of the song. I thought my CD came with a scratch on it, but he was quick to point out that's how the song was written. A very random memory, but something I always remember every time I hear that song. The last time I saw Levi was in the Mission in San Francisco at a restaurant on Valencia Street. I was taking a break from work to go on a walk to clear my head from a day long meeting when I ran into him. We exchanged some words and made sure everything was going well in our lives. While sometimes, us as human beings, we can get wrapped up in the routines of conversation. But when Levi spoke about things in life, you knew it was genuine! He communicated with his words and his emotions. My sincerest condolences to his loved ones and family.

I have such wonderful memories of the Felix family. I was the Office Manager at Bullard TALENT for almost 26 years and I remember Levi and Seth very well. They were talented, handsome and spirited young men. And I remember Bluma showing up each year to make potato pancakes for the boys' classrooms. Such a lovely family and I was so sorry to hear of this sad news. My heart goes out to this amazing and loving family.

I never had the pleasure to meet Levi, but have heard and read amazing things about this wise, beyond his years, young man. Brooke, I've known through her mother Karen ,who spent the night with me on her way up to the East Bay. It was beyond touching to hear Karen giving me a glance of this special man. Bluma, Edward, Brooke, Seth, and Zevi, my deepest condolences for the loss of your precious Levi. A bright light has definitely been extinguished, yet he will live in in the wonderful memories he created in his life. He will forever be Sebastian the Crab from "The Little Mermaid" delighting both young and old alike with his charismatic persona that was truly infectuously joyful. I will continue to lift all of you up in good thoughts and prayers as you traverse this time of despair.

Dearest Felix family. I read this today with a broken heart. Having known Levi since he was a little child, watching him grow in school I always knew that he would grow up to do wonderful things for people and with people. He accomplished so much in such a short time. I will always remember the smile on his sweet face. My heart and my love go to your family right now.
