Lewis T. Lastik

Man he was a big part of the movie remember the titans and his character seemed so full of happiness and always in good spirits. I have no doubt the real Lewis Lastik was more than likely the same way in real life. Prayers to his family in their loss!!!!! God Bless you Lewis and your family and loved ones. RIP Lewis Lastik!!!!!

Was up watching remember the titans. Something told me to look him up and I saw he passed. He's with the father right now looking down on his loved one's happy. To his family my condolences and he was a special man. Godbless.

I guess I have watch that movies of Remember the Titans at least 5 times. Even though I didn't know you the legacy of y'all's coming together as a team when there was so much going on around y'all is so inspiring. I know my message is so late, but I didn't know. I have so many memories of Lewie, I wouldn't know where to begin, except to say, he brightens up the most dreary day, turns every frown upside down, and I will love and miss him more than he will ever know.

My deepest condolences to the Lastik family. When I went off to Ferrum College, with Barbie Newby, the only other Titan we knew who was headed there was Lewie. Being so far from home (5 hours away), it was such a comfort having another familiar face on campus. Thank you, Lewie, for your friendship and for your extraordinary life. Arms around your family, as we join them in mourning for you.

A great friend and better man. We played and baseball and football against each other and as teammates from age 7 until we graduated High School. While our paths took different directions then we stayed in touch and talked on the phone.

He always had a story and always had a kind word for all that we knew. He loved his family with all that he did.

My Condolences and prayers for big Lew and his family, I lined up against him in practice everyday during our Titan days and he made me a better player for it. He had a heart of gold and mischievous mind for pranks. Will miss his sense of humor and laugh. He anchored a great defensive line along with Gary Nichols. Rest in peace my friend and God's speed. You will always be a great Titan my friend.

Louie, it was wonderful knowing you in high school and hanging out together. You always had a smile and I hope your life was a happy one. See you on the other side, brother.
