I am so sorry for the loss of such a influence on the lives of many students. He was the first to ever challenge me. I give him credit for being one of the starts of my success in life. He was a great and wonderful teacher. My prayers and thoughts go to the family.

I am so sorry for the loss of Mr. Watson. I was in his first 7th grade class at Avoca Elementary. Later when I became a middle school teacher, I patterned myself after him by trying my best to be prepared everyday and ready to work with children. He gave me and many other students confidence in their abilities by instilling in us a sense of worth and confidence in our mission. I know this is a great tragedy to your family, but just know, that Mr. Watson left a great legacy in the students that he taught so well.

Mr. Watson was a wonderful teacher that touched so many young lives at Avoca. He and Mr. Hensley were our heros in the 7th & 8th grades. Mr. Watson taught us a short cut one day to remember personal pronouns. After 46 years, I still remember that short cut and have taught it to my grandchildren. He will always be remembered with love and admiration. My prayers and thoughts are with his family.

Dear Watson family,
I am very saddened to hear of Mr. Watson's passing. Mr. Watson was my 7th & 8th grade English teacher at Avoca School in the years 1964-65 and 1965-66. He was the most awesome teacher and when I reached high school, I realized how much English he had taught us. I won't ever forget the day when he gave my class a pop test and after it was over he called me into the hall and told me that he gave that test to see how I would do because I always had test anxiety. Well, I did fine on that test and I will never forget how important he made me feel that day. I am now a teacher and I just recently shared that story with my high school students. I will never forget his smiling face and the fun we had in his class. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

So sorry for the loss of Mr. Watson. He was my teacher at Avoca in Bristol. He was always so patient and helpful. A great man that had such a positve attitude. I did not know he was living so close to me. I would have gone to see him. My thoughts are with his family..
