I am so sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed the company of this lovely woman. May you be consoled by her love and your beautiful memories of her.

To the Family of Lila Hendery: My husband and I met your parents when we were volunteering with Faith in Action. We used to take them to various doctors' appointments. They were always such lovely, funny and
interesting people. Once when I took Lila to an appointment at Wilson
Hospital and we passed an area with a lovely wall mural made out of mens ties. I remarked how pretty it was and if she liked to do craft projects. She promptly replied, "Good grief, I had nine children including
three sets of twins. Do you think I had time for crafts?" We laughed and
I thought to myself what a remarkable mom she must be. I know how much she loved all of you, and I'm sure you were blessed to have her as

To all of my Hendery cousins, I am so saddened to see that Aunt Lila has passed but I know that she is now again with Uncle Bob. They have both been on my mind so often lately; my memories of them and all of us as kids are so vivid. She was one of the kindest women and a person of the strongest faith I've ever known. She will be dearly missed by everyone who was privileged to have had her in their life. My thoughts are with you all.

Dear Mary, Anne Marie and the entire Hendery family,
So very sorry about your mom's passing. She is so proud of all of her children and her legacy will live on in each and every one of you. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

To all the Hendery "kids"....... I'm so saddened to hear about your mom's passing. She was such a wonderful woman, mother and friend. She's with your dad now and that's such a comfort, as we found out. Know that some of our (us Wheeler "kids") best memories are of visiting you all on Martha Road (14 kids and 4 adults!). Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with all of you today and always.

Lila was such a terrific role model for all of us who watched the Hendrey children grow to be responsible adults. She and her husband taught them to love God first and their neighbors as themselves just as Jesus taught. Her smile, her kindness and love of church and community taught us "younger" girls what to do. Thank you Lord, for letting us have the Hendreys in our lives. Bless you all.

To the Hendery family, your Mom was a beautiful soul, generous and loving and always welcoming to any and all who crossed paths with the family. She and Bob passed on those best parts to each and every child and I’m sure to each new child on down the line. Oh, and the sense of humor is extra special and runs in the genes. That is a special trait that can be shared with grief by also remembering the wonderful and humorous times with hose you’ve loved. Your Mom and Dad were very special. My heartfelt sympathies to your whole family.
