Lillian Sullivan Nealeigh

Lillian Sullivan Nealeigh transitioned from her life on earth to her eternal home on September 27, 2022.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 1, at 11 am at Britton Rd. Church of Christ in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Lillian Alice Stumbo was born in Kincaid, KS, to Ernest Leo and Jewel Mildred Stumbo on August 23, 1937. She grew up as the youngest in a family of seven siblings. Along with her parents, preceding her in death are sisters, Louise Menzies, Velma Schwartz, Helen Colglazier Morgan, Hazel Stumbo, Dorothy Bergmark, and two brothers Fred Stumbo, and Floyd Stumbo. She is survived by approximately 125 nieces and nephews and their children. She grew up on the family farm in Lawrence, KS, where she graduated from high school.

Lil met Don Sullivan in her first year of college at Central Christian College, which later became Oklahoma Christan College. They were married in 1957 and enjoyed a full life of ministry together for 46 years before Don's death in August 2003.

They welcomed four children into their family, Larry Sullivan (Pam) of Abilene, John Sullivan (Eme) of Norman, Mike Sullivan (Kelly), Mary Louise Sullivan (Chris) of Oklahoma City. Mike preceded Lil in death in August 2021.

Lil was the proud Nana to Kendra Paris (Joel), Kris Sullivan, Justin Sullivan, Jessica Sullivan, Jenna Sullivan, Becca Brealey (Adrian), Ema Arnold (Devon), McKenna Hernandez (Anthony), Emily Sullivan, Paisley Hieronymus (Josh), Annaly Sullivan and Lily Sullivan Adams. She was the great-Nana to Julien Paris, Dominic Bucio, Adrienne and Ruby Brealy, Liam, Lincoln, and Logan Arnold, Leilani and Mateo Hernandez, and Audrey Hieronymus.

Don and Lil and their family moved to Minot, ND, to minister and help grow the church there. In addition to Minot, Don and Lil ministered to churches in southern California and Shawnee, OK. Lil was always an active part of loving and serving others and building meaningful relationships with people. Lil worked in geriatric care and ran her own private geriatric facility in southern California.

After Don's death, Lil met Ken Nealeigh through mutual friends and they were married in 2008. Lil continued ministering to the needs of others and serving together with Ken in churches in Wyoming until his death in April 2022.

For the last 5 months, Lil lived with her daughter Mary Louise (Cissy), Chris, and Lily and enjoyed spending time with family.
